How to access eBooks and eAudiobooks

What is an eBook?

An eBook is a book presented in a format which allows it to be read on a computer or smart device such as a tablet or smart phone.

Where do I find eBooks/eAudiobooks?

Dade County Library offers eBooks from the website under

"Search for Library Materials"

To find eResources select the "Visual" tab on left side.

Select "eBook Resources" icon

  • Ebsco:  Books/Magazines as Educational Resources
  • Heritage Quest:  US and Canada Census Records
  • Learning Express:  Tests, Tutorial, Ebooks
  • Fold3: Veteran Records

"Hoopla"

Hoopla is a web and mobile library media streaming platform for audio books, comics, e-books, movies, music, and TV.

Access Hoopla from the icon on left side of this page.

First time users select "Get Started Today".  Patrons are required to set up an account using their Library Card number.  For following visits only the email and a password of your choosing that are used during registration will be required.

Dade County Library offers each patron five (5) free items from Hoopla each month.
